Edition 11: Daryl Sadgrove, Executive Director, Strategy Performance and Growth - 8/11/2022 - The Credit (HE) Procedure required a review as part of the Policy approval implementation plan. This review was conducted as per the Implementation Plan requirements by Higher Education Senior leadership team (HELM) and has been updated with minor edits to the text to support clearer explanation. Moderation techniques, that are supported by group and academic collaboration have been added.
Edition 10: Higher Education - 3/02/2022 - Credit (HE) Procedure, reviewed and updated. This updated procedure includes the detail previously included in Academic Board the Credit (HE) Policy including credit limits and granting Recognition of Prior Learning. It supports pathways and progression to further study. The requirement for students to accept an approved Credit Transfer has been removed.
Edition 9: Academic Board - 7/09/2017 - Credit (HE) Procedure, revised. This procedure was previously titled Higher Education Academic Credit Procedure - P/HE/P/4/026. The features of the Credit (HE) Procedure are:
- Result codes for Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning added.
- Assessment of Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning can occur at Admission and Enrolment stage with a view to finalising early in the semester.
- A process for assessing and granting credit for completed cross -institutional study added.
- A process for assessing and granting credit for completed exchange program added
Edition 8: Academic Board - 4/11/2016 - Higher Education Academic Credit Procedure – P/HE/P/4/026, was amended to record any change to the Course End Date for international students following grant of credit. The approval process was also amended to ensure a timely resolution of credit applications
Edition 7: Academic Board - 15/07/2016 - Higher Education Academic Credit Procedure – P/HE/P/4/026, amended to align with the current academic governance committee structure and amended approval process. (Amendment of organisational unit names to align with the new structure).
Edition 6: Education Committee - 12/08/2015 - Higher Education Academic Credit Procedure – P/HE/P/4/026, rebranded. Fixed link B/SV/D/7/007 Change HEAB to AB Depart Administrator to course Administrator.
Edition 5: Education Committee - 12/05/2014 - Higher Education Academic Credit Procedure – P/HE/P/4/026. The update includes the HE Department Curriculum Committee as approver of academic credit applications within the department. Academic Credit Confirmation Form deleted from the process to streamline the procedure.
