Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This is the first document to be published in Melbourne Polytechnic's new Policy Register. It is basically equivalent to the document that was approved and in effect at the time the migration occurred, except for the numbering system and references, which have been updated to align with the new formatting and current requirements.

Version History

Edition 1: Academic Board – 7/09/2017 – New Orientation (HE) Policy.

The new features of the Orientation (HE) Policy are:

- Orientation activities will be held twice per year, at the beginning of the year (prior to semester 1) and mid-year (prior to semester 2).

- Activities will be scheduled in the week prior to the commencement of the semester across all campuses and the Institute will deliver an integrated approach to orientation.

- Students who commence studies following orientation will be provided with relevant information to assist their orientation to Melbourne Polytechnic.
