Summary of Changes from Previous Version

Orientation (HE) Procedure describes orientation processes and assigns responsibility for effective implementation across Higher Education courses. Orientation activities will be held at the beginning of each teaching period which is normally at the beginning of the year (prior to semester 1) and mid-year (prior to semester 2) across all locations. They are designed to facilitate students' smooth transition into the Institute.
Update to this Procedure includes:
• The alignment of relevant academic and governance approvals including the addition of peak academic governing body, the Higher Education Academic Board and sub-committees; and
• Support the operational structure changes which were actioned in 2019.
