Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This is the first document to be published in Melbourne Polytechnic's new Policy Register. It is basically equivalent to the document that was approved and in effect at the time the migration occurred, except for the numbering system and references, which have been updated to align with the new formatting and current requirements.

Version History

Edition 1: Academic Board – 10/11/2017 – New Subject Cancellation (HE) Policy.

The features of the new Subject Cancellation (HE) Policy are:

- Provision for cancelling subject offerings under particular circumstances included.

- Making every effort to avoid the cancellation of subject offerings and ensuring students are notified of any cancelled subjects as soon as possible to minimise impact.

- Before cancelling any subject offerings ensure students can complete course requirements within current timeframes.

- Provision of alternative elective options to minimise impact on students’ progression.

- Minimum enrolment numbers for a subject included.
