- Bank Accounts PolicyThe purpose of this policy is to establish effective internal controls in relation to the use and management of bank accounts at Melbourne Polytechnic.
- Barsheets ProcedureThis procedure outlines requirements relating to use of the approved Business Activity Register Sheet (BARSHEET) or FFS Budget for costing commercial activities, and associated advice to Academic Registry (Institute Accredited Programs) regarding courses. (i) completion of the BARSHEET or FFS Budget is required for approval of costing of commercial activities (ii) it may also be used as a preliminary costing tool.
- Benchmarking (HE) ProcedureMelbourne Polytechnic utilises benchmarking as a systematic approach to enhance academic quality and performance by comparing and analysing strengths and weaknesses, and devising improvement strategies. This process includes both course-specific and outcome-based benchmarking. The primary aim of benchmarking at Melbourne Polytechnic is to facilitate the achievement of requisite AQF level 5 and above outcomes by students, by identifying and implementing academic quality enhancements. Benchmarking is a versatile and multifaceted tool used across various sectors for ongoing improvement and regular assessment activities.
- Board Professional Learning PolicyThe purpose of this policy is to outline the scope and guidelines for the professional learning of Melbourne Polytechnic Board Directors. Board professional learning activities are designed to assist Directors to improve their ability to discharge their responsibilities and meet fiduciary duties, such as being aware of changes in corporate law, business practices, and governance requirements.
- Borrowing Institute Tablecloths and Banners ProcedureThe purpose of this procedure is to allow Melbourne Polytechnic staff the ability to hire table clothes and pullup banners in supporting events/activities that relate to the organisational needs, promotions and institute events. This procedure provides the guidance in outlining the process of loaning Marketing resources being Navy tablecloths and Generic Pullup Banners, and the repercussions for lost or damaged loaned items.
- Building Projects PolicyTo ensure all institute building projects comply with - Relevant building acts and regulations - Local authorities - Institute policy and procedures.
- Buildings and Grounds Maintenance PolicyTo ensure all institute maintenance works comply with: - relevant building acts and regulations; - local authorities; and - institute policy and procedures.
- Business Resilience PolicyThe purpose of this policy is to outline the:
- Elements of Melbourne Polytechnic’s Business Resilience Framework and how it is to be applied using the Prevent, Prepare, Respond, Recover process;
- Governance structure for managing disruption events, including the key roles and responsibilities of the Executive Management Team, Business Resilience Committee and Network Teams;
- Principles that will guide the management of disruption events;
- Methods for continuously improving and refining the Business Resilience Framework and supporting processes.
