- Family Violence PolicyMelbourne Polytechnic considers family violence as unacceptable at home and in the workplace and is committed to providing support to staff that experience family violence.
- Family Violence ProcedureMelbourne Polytechnic considers family violence as unacceptable at home and in the workplace and is committed to providing support to staff that experience family violence. The intent of this procedure is to describe the process and assign responsibility for the application and approval for Family Violence leave for ongoing and fixed-term contract employees.
- Fee for Service Enrolment ProcedureThe intent of this procedure is to ensure that the use of the Fee for Service enrolment process is consistent across the institute. The Fee for Service enrolment process is to be used to enrol students into a short course, either directly at Melbourne Polytechnic via the shopping cart or through a consultancy group.
- Fee Waiver Request (VET and Foundation) ProcedureThe purpose of this Procedure is to describe the process to be followed:
a. to obtain approval for Tuition Fee Waivers or Amenities Fee Waivers for VET and Foundation enrolments; and
b. for Fee Transfers. - Financial Code of Conduct PolicyThis Financial Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour and conduct expected from Melbourne Polytechnic staff in relation to financial matters. If any of the provisions contained within this code are not fully understood, staff should seek clarification from the Chief Finance Officer.
- Fire Alarm Isolation ProcedureEnsure alarms are deactivated before starting work.
- Fixed Assets Accounting Policy(1) The purpose of this policy is to establish principles for the recognition, classification, valuation and management of fixed assets and capital expenditure. It ensures that assets are recorded accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
(2) The financial management and accounting treatment of fixed assets will comply with the following requirements:
a. The Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs), issued by the Australian Accounting Standards Board
b. The Financial Management Act 1994 (FMA)
c. The Standing Directions of the Minister for Finance issued under the FMA
d. Financial Reporting Directions and Guidance (FRDs) issued under the FMAl
e. Commercial Guidelines – TAFE Institutes issued under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. - Flexible Working Arrangements PolicyThe purpose of this policy is to outline Melbourne Polytechnic’s approach to flexible working and to embed flexible work at Melbourne Polytechnic.
