  • Occupational Health and Safety PolicyThe purpose of this policy is to demonstrate the strong commitment of Melbourne Polytechnic to provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risks to health. This commitment is based on the belief that all occupational injuries/illnesses can and must be prevented.
  • Offshore Enrolment Template ProcedureThe intent of this procedure is to outline the process to be followed to generate enrolment templates for offshore programs on the Student Management System (SMS).
  • Offshore Student Enrolment ProcedureThe intent of this procedure is to outline the process to be followed for enrolling students studying in offshore programs. Note: Prior to enrolling students in an Offshore program, the Offshore Enrolment Template Procedure must be followed. Melbourne Polytechnic ensures that all aspects of delivery of offshore programs aligns to requirements of regulatory governing bodies.
  • Orientation (HE) PolicyThe purpose of the Orientation Policy is to provide a framework that supports commencing Higher Education students to transition into their studies. Successful transition requires knowledge across academic, social and administrative aspects of Melbourne Polytechnic study.

    Successful orientation programs are often linked to student retention. Components of such programs include assisting students to appreciate the attitudes, and acquire the knowledge, skills and opportunities that will assist them in becoming valuable members of the Melbourne Polytechnic Institute community.

    This Policy outlines the provision of orientation programs by Melbourne Polytechnic, to students prior to commencement of their course. Orientation will be guided by Standard 6 Student support services of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 (National Code 2018).
  • Orientation (HE) ProcedureThe intent of this Procedure is to describe orientation processes and assign responsibility for effective implementation across Higher Education courses.
  • Overseas Placement of External Participants to MP ProcedureThe purpose of this procedure is to provide guidelines for appointing an external participant to an overseas placement.
  • Overseas Placement of Melbourne Polytechnic Employee ProcedureThe purpose of this procedure is to provide guidelines for appointing employees to overseas placements.
